This Cape Charles interior design project transformed a builder-grade spec home in Bay Creek into a warm, inviting family retreat with a timeless traditional feel. The project began with a custom mantel and fireplace design with built-in shelving and cabinetry, creating a strong focal point for the living room. New custom furnishings, window coverings, and décor were layered throughout, including cream sofas, warm leather recliners, brass tables, soft blue accents, and relaxed Roman shades and draperies. A dining room was reimagined as a cozy whiskey lounge, while the new dining room paired the client’s existing table with cane-backed cream rattan chairs, warm draperies, and fresh florals. Sentimental pieces, antiques, and artwork were incorporated throughout to create an elegant yet lived-in home.
