The historic kellogg house
The Kellogg Kitchen sits at the back of a 1928 Cape Charles home once owned by E.M. Kellogg of the Heckle and Kellogg Ice Company. With original millwork and one of the first residential refrigerators, the space called for a design that honored its rich history while embracing modern functionality.
Inspired by Art Deco elegance, the kitchen features a custom sink cabinet echoing the original built-ins, floor-to-ceiling cabinetry that makes the most of the 12-foot ceilings, and marble surfaces. A custom copper hood serves as a bold centerpiece, while the original butler’s pantry, with its vintage sink and pale pink cabinetry, remains a charming treasure.
