For this master suite in the sprawling 16,400-square-foot Mandeville Manor, an elegant French Country-style estate just outside New Orleans, I was brought in to craft a luxurious, restorative sanctuary. With soaring 22-foot ceilings in the master bath, the space called for scale, detail, and softness. I designed custom judges paneling on every wall to bring architectural depth and character, using subtle molding that adds refinement without overwhelming the room.

A palette of layered whites and warm taupes sets a serene tone, enhanced by marble tile, marble countertops, and finely detailed brass plumbing fixtures. At the heart of the space, a sculptural freestanding tub anchors the room beneath thoughtfully placed artwork, a focal point that balances drama and calm in this tailored, light-filled retreat.

For the kitchen, I selected finishes that keep the open space bright and timeless while carrying subtle French Country influences into a modern setting. The light blue grey cabinetry adds a gentle wash of color that pairs well with the brass details, and the marble countertops tie the palette back to the soft, natural elegance used throughout the home. The homeowners chose the light fixture early in the process, and I used its character as the guiding note for the overall feel of the space.
